System Dynamics Society in St Gallen, Switzerland, July 22 – 26, 2012. He presented a paper entitled Model Behavior and the Strengths of Causal Loops: Mathematical Insights and a Practical Method. John also became part of the special interest group in model analysis.

System Dynamics Society in Seoul, South Korea, July 25 – 30, 2010. He presented a paper entitled Church Growth via Enthusiasts and Renewal. John also became part of the special interest group modelling psychological and social phenomena.
