Two researchers spoke at the British Applied Mathematics Colloquium (BAMC), held between 28th and 30th April at the University of Cardiff
The BAMC is the UK’s largest general applied mathematics conference and is held annually over 3 consecutive days; this year marked the first time the conference has ever been held in Wales. Presentation were made by Dr Philip Trevelyan and Dr Graeme Boswell, who was also a member of the scientific committee and organiser of a minisympoisium on modelling biological branching networks. It proved a great oportunity to meet up with old frields and collegues and discuss new advances in areas of applied mathematics. Details of the conference are available online: BAMC 2014 website. Future BAMCs are to be held in Cambridge (2015), Oxford (2016) and Surrey (2017).
